We understand that wakes sometimes are the only chance for a real meet-again of old friends within the same city. And that wakes are naturally crowded, and politicians instinctively use the gathering to introduce themselves. We also know that they sponsor coffins, chairs, linoleum, tarps, coffee and other consumables for the wake. Some are even known to stock-up and be generous on biscuits.
